F.W. Barnes and Son Funeral Directors have a proud history of caring for and providing funeral services to Ballarat and district, dating back to 1895.
During the past 122 years we have undergone many changes, not just in the location of our funeral home but also in the size of our business and the quality and scope of our services.
Now, in 2017, more than 12 decades since our beginnings as Jordan and Tippett Furnishing Undertakers, F.W. Barnes and Son Funeral Directors commence a new chapter which will further enhance and strengthen our position as one of the premier Ballarat funeral homes.
F.W. Barnes and Son commenced 2017 under new ownership and new management, with private investment company Propel Investments our new owner and experienced regional Victorian funeral director Chris Quinn as manager.
Propel focuses its investment strategies primarily on the funeral industry and consequently brings considerable resources to F.W. Barnes and Son, ensuring even greater levels of funeral service than those the Ballarat district has enjoyed in the past.
Chris Quinn has more than 20 years’ experience in the funeral industry and brings a refreshing and invigorating approach to F.W. Barnes and Son’s funeral parlour and Ballarat funeral services in general. Combining compassion and professionalism with deep care and respect for the community, Chris and his highly trained team welcome the opportunity to meet Ballarat and district families and businesses to discuss F.W.
