  1. Heartfelt sympathy to Alison’s family at this very sad time.
Alison was a wonderful friend from Teachers College days. We had many happy times together and shared a love of all things arty. She loved drawing horses and anything to do with them. Her aim after College was to teach in the country and marry a farmer which of course she did and was truly happy. We kept in touch for quite some time but didn’t meet again until a few years ago at a Teachers College Reunion. I treasure my memories of her. Ali was a very special person.

  2. To Alison’s family, my heartfelt condolences. Thankyou for sharing your Mum’s celebration with us.
My early recollection of Alison was at Hampton and seeing her drawings all over the bedroom walls, I have to say, we (my sister;, Marj)and I were horrified, however her love for her art was obviously nurtured then.
I am so pleased we, the cousins, were able to have a great time together in Queenscliff a few years ago, that time will always be special to us.
As was related in the Service, your Mum loved her family dearly and no doubt her influence and artistic talents are embedded in your families.
Love to you all. Lorna Ruge (Purkiss). Cousin of Alison
