  1. Our dear bazza roo. We still cannot believe you are gone. It feels like we’re going to pick you up on our way to where we’re going tomorrow and we’ll share with you all the things that have happened to get ready for tomorrow’s big day. We are so grateful for your kindness and generosity and for how you were the best pop our kids could have hoped for. Your love of Spanish meant that you brought me Esteban from Spain that year for Christmas and allowed me to spend time with my dad. It was heartbreaking to see an intellectual man deteriorate and lose the things you loved. You are now no longer suffering, but bloody hell we will miss you terribly. Abuelo, padre y suegro – Descansa en paz. Muchos besos y abruzos. Marty Kath issy biz (Issy) and sofa-doff (Sofia).

  2. Dear Judy and family. I would like to pass on my condolences to you all. Barry and I worked very closely at U3A Croydon and he was thrown in the deep end when many changes were happening within the organisation. He was always available and willing, with a smile (most of the time and after he’d had his cup of brewed coffee) to assist us. It was always evident how much he adored his family and how he spoke about all of you. Working with him on the committee was a pleasure for me. Sincerely, Beth Barnes.
