We would like to tell the friends and family of Hilda Lesley Findlay that on Monday June 12, 2017, Hilda was promoted to Heaven and is now safe in the arms of Jesus.
Hilda was a loving wife to Lovell (dec). loved Mother of Barbara, David, Elizabeth and Joy. Grandmother of Marcus, Shane, Michael, Felicity, Christopher and Tessa. Great grandmother of Caleb, Elijah, Nebraska, Micaiah, Manoah, Asher, Enoch, Jotham, David, William, Thomas and Finn.
Our sympathy goes out to all the family. I had known of Hilda (and Lovell) for years ever since I found out we had the same surname! But I only met her in the last few years on short visits to Hamilton where they had set up house at Eventide. So I regret not having more time to get to know this lovely lady. I do know that her faithfulness to her Lord was a driving force and a special input into her spread-out family. So comforting to know she’s home safe and sound.
The Memorial service is on my birthday, so loving thoughts and prayers for you as we thank God for the gift of her life and ours, and praying that our lives count for Him.
