Margot Anna Kotsch (née Rothe)

Born on June 20, 1924. Passed away April 13, 2022.

Our Mother kept a garden,
A garden of the heart,
She planted all the good things That gave our lives their start.

She turned us to the sunshine And encouraged us to dream, Fostering and nurturing The seed of self-esteem.

And when the winds and rains came, She protected us enough
But not to much because she knew

W e’d need to stand up strong and tough.

Her constant good example, Always taught us right from wrong

Markers for our pathways That will last a lifetime long.

W e are our Mother’s garden. W e are her legacy.

And we hope today our beautiful Mother Is surrounded by the love we each feel in our

hearts.

  1. My dear Oma,
How lucky we are to have you in our lives.
You shared with me so many things that will stay in my memory forever. I loved to visit you and have you always say “oh my Kymerley”! You spelt my name as your said it always, a special name just for me. I loved to see what creations you made in your kitchen, what lollies were in your special lolly box and what the latest gossip was on your favourite soap opera. I’m so glad you shared your special German potato salad recipe with me – it was always a symbol of our German Christmas celebrations and I will continue to make a German potato salad every Christmas.
I will miss you but I am glad you are at peace.
    Rest easy my dear Oma.
Lots of love your Kymerley xx
